17/5 — 14:00-17:00 Breath Hold: Intensiv Workshop. Volume I & II @ Osmose Yoga
At Amaru’s immersive events, breath-holding becomes a gateway to profound self-awareness and mastery. By temporarily withholding oxygen — the very essence of life — you awaken primal survival instincts, revealing subconscious patterns and automatic reactions that shape your emotions and behavior. This practice offers a rare opportunity to observe, understand, and rewire these deeply ingrained responses.
More than just a physiological practice, breath-holding is an intimate way of meeting yourself — showing you where you tend to hold on, resist, or disconnect. It reveals how you relate to discomfort, control, fear, and the act of letting go.
In this space, you’ll gain the capacity to recognize and reshape ingrained responses, allowing you to gradually shift your inner narrative from the inside out. It’s a direct, embodied way of building resilience in the areas you need it most — one breath-hold at a time.
VOLUME I
Breath-Hold & Body Awareness
-
Volume I introduces the physiology and experience of breath-holding, offering a refined approach to understanding the breath as a bridge between body and mind. Through guided breathing techniques, specific ribcage opening and diaphragm stretches, and meditation, you will gain insight into how CO₂ levels shape your urge to breathe and how conscious awareness can reshape your response. This session cultivates a state of presence and acceptance, helping you develop a more composed and resilient approach to the unpredictability of life.

VOLUME II
-
Building on the foundations laid in Volume I, Volume II explores the psychological and emotional dimensions of breath-holding. As CO₂ levels rise, primal survival instincts are triggered, bringing deeply rooted reactions to stress, discomfort, and the need for control to the surface. Through extended breath-holding phases combined with a conscious reflection process, you will learn to recognize these patterns and develop the ability to reshape them through trust, acceptance, and surrender.
Designed for those ready to use breath-holding as a means to cultivate mental resilience and deeper self-awareness, this workshop offers the space to confront and release limiting subconscious patterns, fostering greater ease and confidence in both breath-holding and everyday life.

In Volume I, the breath-holding practice is designed to be gentle and accessible, with gradual progressions. The focus is on building awareness, connecting to your body, and cultivating a state of presence. You will be guided through different phases of breath-holding, but the primary goal is to become comfortable with the process and increase your capacity at your own pace. There is no pressure to hold your breath for extended periods — your comfort is the priority.
-
Volume II builds on the foundation set in Volume I, but it is designed for anyone with a basic understanding of breath-holding, whether they’ve attended Volume I or have prior experience. If you’re new to breath-holding or feel unsure, we recommend starting with Volume I to establish a strong foundation. Volume II will dive deeper into psychological aspects, so having the basics of breath-holding will make the experience more impactful, but beginners can still join, provided they are open to exploring their inner world and working with discomfort.
-
Subconscious patterns refer to deeply ingrained emotional responses, beliefs, and behaviors that often stem from past experiences or survival instincts. These can manifest as reactions to stress, discomfort, or feelings of control. In Volume II, you’ll have the opportunity to become more aware of these patterns as you work through breath-holding and other reflective practices. You don’t need to have any prior experience with psychological work to benefit — just an open mind and willingness to explore. If you’re ready to move past limiting beliefs and reactions, you’re ready to begin this process.
-
In both Volume I and Volume II, the breath-holding practices are designed to be safe and manageable, with attention to your comfort level. Some physical discomfort may arise, particularly as you work through breath-holds and explore new boundaries. However, you will always be guided by Cassandra who prioritizes safety and ensures that you are breathing and practicing in a way that works for your body. If at any time you feel discomfort, you will be encouraged to pause and reset, ensuring a safe and supportive environment throughout the process.

Breathwork is a powerful practice that can guide you into altered states of consciousness, where emotional release, deep insights, and shifts in mental states can occur. These practices allow you to go deeper, explore different layers of your mind, and sometimes experience a sense of dissociation or transcendence. It can be transformative, helping you access emotions or parts of your psyche that are not easily reachable.
In contrast, breath-holding is a practice of direct confrontation. It’s not about escaping your present experience or altering your state of mind; it’s about being fully present with what arises within you. When you hold your breath, discomfort, mental patterns, and emotions will surface, but it is ultimately your choice how you respond to them. Unlike breathwork, where things may arise without your control, breath-holding empowers you to engage consciously with those experiences. It asks you to decide whether to shift your perception, embrace them, or let them go. Breath-holding offers you the opportunity to actively choose how you respond, making it a more grounded practice in personal self-awareness and control.
